Baier, who was in Hanoi, Vietnam for Trump's summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, was pushing back on the US president's claim in a tweet that Michael Cohen's testimony before Congress last week could have contributed to the failure of the summit.

When asked about Cohen's testimony at a press conference on Thursday in Hanoi after Trump had abruptly chose to end the summit with Kim early, the president called the allegations "incorrect" and criticised the decision to have the hearing while he was away.
As for Bolton, he flat-out refused to give an opinion on the matter that didn't align with the president. "And Kim Jong Un is not going to read this-I don't care how the administration spins this-that's not how Kim Jong Un is gonna read it".

The summit's collapse followed the leaders' historic meeting in Singapore, which produced only a vague commitment from Kim to work "toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula".
According to senior USA officials, in the week leading up to the Hanoi summit, the North Koreans had demanded the lifting of effectively all UN Security Council economic sanctions imposed on Pyongyang since March 2016.
The maneuvers have been a perennial target of North Korean fury - condemned by Pyongyang as provocative rehearsals for war.
The Democratic head of the House Intelligence Committee Adam Schiff called the entire summit a "spectacular failure" and said Trump made things worse with his comments about Otto Warmbier.
