He is one of 25 people who have been charged as part of a human trafficking sting in several Florida countries.
Kraft, one of the more successful owners in National Football League history, was part of a months-long human-trafficking and prostitution sting involving a number of Florida massage parlors, including one in Jupiter, where Kraft allegedly solicited a prostitute "on at least two separate occasions roughly a month ago, "according to TMZ".
Police said they arrested two women at the spa earlier this week for "deriving support from prostitution, maintaining a house for prostitution and offering to commit prostitution", reportsCBS Miami.
The spa Kraft allegedly visited is in a busy, upper-middle-class shopping center with neighbors that include a dentist, a real estate office, surf and bike shops and a Publix supermarket. On Jan. 18, police began video surveillance until Jan. 22. "They can't leave and they are performing sex acts", Currey said, according to the TCPalm.
Authorities have video evidence depicting the acts in question after installing hidden cameras inside the spa, police officials said, adding that Kraft had been dropped off by a driver.
Officers also looked at the spa's trash and found grocery bags with ripped-up spreadsheets including names, and napkins with seminal fluid, police said.
Kraft has an on-and-off relationship with Ricki Lander, a 39-year-old actress who lives at his home in Los Angeles.
The Patriots issued the following statement following reports of the Florida charges: "We categorically deny that Mr. Kraft engaged in any illegal activity. Because it is a judicial matter, we will not be commenting further", his spokesperson said.
Kraft, who made his initial fortune through a packaging company, bought the Patriots in 1994 for $172 million to keep the team from moving to St. Louis.
Kraft's wife of many decades, Myra Hiatt Kraft, died in 2011 of ovarian cancer.
The likely result? Kraft is suspended and his son, Jonathan, will run the team in his absence.
