However, Scott and her boyfriend, Michael Swearingin were both found dead January 15 in rural Oklahoma, after being missing for a couple of weeks, KCEN-TV is reporting.
Cedric "Spider-Man" Marks escaped from the private prison transport van during a stop at a McDonald's in Conroe, police Lt. Dorcy McGinnis said during a news conference in the city, which is about 40 miles (65 kilometres) north of Houston.
Authorities have been interested in Marks after his ex-girlfriend Jenna Scott and her friend Michael Swearingin were reported missing last month, KHOU reported.
"Each time he allowed me to regain consciousness and then he choked me out again, " Scott said in the affidavit.
The 44-year-old was released from the Kent County Jail in MI on Thursday and picked up by U.S. Prisoner Transportation Services to be extradited to Texas, Kent County Jail officials told KHOU.
Scott requested a protective order against Marks last July, accusing him of choking her unconscious twice, Temple television station KCEN reported.
The 44-year-old is considered "extremely unsafe", the sheriff's office said.
She also reported to police that Marks had broken into her home in August while her daughter, who was nine, was there.
Marks, 44, was being transported from Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Bell County in Texas, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
Marks has not been named as a suspect in the disappearance of Scott and Swearingin.
Another Marks ex-girlfriend, April Pease, the mother of his child, disappeared in 2009 in Minnesota.
Texas Prisoner Transport Services was transporting Marks along with several other prisoners when he escaped.
Maya Maxwell, 26, was arrested and charged after she told police that she tried to hide Swearingin's vehicle in the Austin area after his disappearance.
Maxwell was returned to Bell County late Tuesday night. His last fight was in September of previous year.
