Marshall died Monday night at her Hollywood Hills home from complications from diabetes. Marshall also directed episodes of According to Jim and United States of Tara.
Marshall stepped out for her last public appearance in 2016, the same year she guest-starred on the CBS reboot of "The Odd Couple". That film was the 1988 hit "Big" with Tom Hanks.
The success of Big made Marshall the first woman to direct a film that made more than $100 million USA at the domestic box office.
