The Manchester City manager Guardiola discusses the music that he listens to escape from the pressures of football in an interview with the BBC, and has named the following songs as important to him with the Oasis song Don't Look Back in Anger particularly relevant to him after his wife and daughter were caught up in the horrific Manchester Arena attack past year.
"Our first half was the best we have played in the last three seasons, the best football since I came here", enthused Guardiola.
His wife Cristina Serra and daughters, Valentina and Maria, were at an Ariana Grande concert when a bomb exploded in the venue.
Guardiola told BBC Radio 5 Live: "I was at home with my son and my wife and daughters were there".
"Titles are important, of course, and they have helped me have jobs and to keep working on my passion".
"She called me, but immediately broke the line".
"It will not be possible to train another team in England like Manchester City, because I feel loved from the people here".
"But I think all the managers, we are happy with our old players when we can laugh and hug and have a good relation".
"We tried to call her again and it didn't work".
Guardiola said he had a special relationship with Manchester after members of his family were caught up in the Manchester Arena terror attack previous year, in which 22 people were killed.
"When I saw him with the crowd clapping - how they loved him, he deserved it", said Guardiola.
Kevin De Bruyne is concerned over the potential state of the Wembley pitch when Manchester City take on Tottenham on Monday.
Guardiola, who was coming towards the end of his first year in Manchester, felt the city's response to the tragedy showed the best of humanity.
"I feel the love from the people here".
"I don't know what kind of society we are going to do because it's not about the law, it's about humanity", he said. Pep Guardiola's side have now won six of the seven games played since the surprise defeat against Lyon in the Champions League on 19 September, and go into the game against Spurs high on confidence.
Pep said: "I love this song, you can not imagine how much".
"We have to admit that City were better - much better", he said.
Shakhtar meanwhile has drawn their opening two games and sit in third place with two points after two games.
