Each day gives us the opportunity to see scattered showers and thunderstorms.
In addition, there may be some vivid lightning and damaging, straight-line wind gusts within any of these storms. Put a storm chance in for Monday but also could have storms Monday night into early Tuesday morning as well. This will be a TOP 10 DAY with highs in the low and mid-80s.
Plenty of sunshine will be the rule into the weekend with temperatures near or slightly below normal along with comfortable humidity.
The rest of the week is expected to be sunny with highs in the mid- to low-80s.

At night, the combination of a clear sky, light wind, and dry air will allow temperatures to fall into the 50s in many outlying areas.
The main impact from these storms will be very heavy, torrential downpours, potentially causing some localized flash flooding. As a more northwesterly wind kicks in, the humidity will be noticeably lower for the remainder of the week. We are forecasting a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the mid-80s.
But as you can see from the forecast model above, strong storms are still possible SE of Richmond from 8-10 p.m. The high temperature will be around 84 degrees.
