Meanwhile, the Grand River in Grand Rapids crested Sunday more than two feet higher than flood stage, after peaking Friday in the Lansing area.
The latest river forecast takes the Ohio River above the dam (Upper gauge) close to major flood stage, with a crest of 35.8 feet by Monday afternoon/evening.

About 50 miles away, the weather service said the roof was blown off a hotel in Osceola, about 160 miles (257 kilometers) north of Memphis, Tennessee. Rain is then expected Wednesday night, mixing with and changing to snow from northwest to southeast across the area Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
The Rock County Sheriff's Office Emergency Management Bureau said in an alert that the Rock River at Lake Koshkonong is forecast to reach minor flooding levels by Monday and continue to rise through Tuesday, with further rises possible.

Parts of the South and Southwest have also been seriously affected by the heavy rainfall and ensuing floods.
Jefferson County EMA Director John Parker said the area appeared set to dodge a weather bullet. It's our highest river level since the significant flooding we saw in early March 1997.
Meteorologist Kristen Cassady says while no rain is forecast until mid-week, tributaries feeding the OH will likely keep the river above flood stage throughout the week.
He said officials still planned to go out after 8 p.m. Saturday to check conditions around the county and fire departments would be monitoring the situation in their areas around Brooke County.
Over the past several days, Grand Rapids residents have experienced what the city is calling near historic flooding.
"That is a gate that will ultimately keep the Ohio River from protruding towards the residences here", MSD supervisor Tony Parrott said. "Who knows that the rain is going to do", he said.
