Having already chose to challenge WWE Champion AJ Styles at Wrestlemania, the King of Strong Style made his way to the ring to detail how Styles would soon taste the business end of his knee when the two clash on the grandest stage of them all.
Styles decided to make an appearance to address his challenger, expressing excitement for a once in a lifetime showdown. TJP defeated Tyler Bate while Cedric defeated Gran Metalik in first-round matches on tonight's WWE 205 Live episode.
Daniel Bryan made an awkward cell phone selfie video (yes, they're still doing it) announcing their top ten list that will be made for title contenders.
Styles and Nakamura, despite potentially facing each other at WrestleMania for the WWE Championship, worked well as a team in the main event against Owens and Zayn who began to bicker about how best to win the match. So much for that co-champions idea.
Fatal Four Way: Rusev defeated Kofi Kingston, Zack Ryder, & Jinder Mahal to become the #1 Contender to the US Title.
And it was a happy Rusev Day as the Bulgarian Brute who picked up the win, forcing Kingston to tap out to his Accolade submission hold. Rusev is absolutely the right choice to be Roode's next challenger. Though the next challenge for the Usos seems to be the Bludgeon Brothers, who took to the ring shortly after the Usos finished. New Day doesn't need the titles now and the WWE wouldn't have the Usos feud with them again.
This match was so brutal, the local talent may as well have been named the Squash Bros.
With SmackDown women's champion Charlotte Flair down and out after a three-on-one attack by the Riott Squad, Carmella sprinted to the ring with case in hand and referee in tow. The second that Charlotte Flair stood up however? This brought out the first women's Money in the Bank victor, Carmella, to a huge pop as Philly believed they were getting a cash-in - and with the way Flair was laid out, you certainly believed it was going to happen. Corbin wanted to make the conversation about him, but Dillinger quickly reminded him of how he failed to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase. The solution? Beating each other down in the ring, as the two rekindled an intense rivalry and let loose the dogs of war.
Baron Corbin and Tye Dillinger had a match that I could not care less about.
Before this match segment starts, The Usos cut a promo listing every team they have "locked down" since being a part of SmackDown Live. He says the dream match between him and Nakamura will happen at Mania, but before then, they should team up to take on Owens and Zayn. However, with the way his title defense ended, I don't believe that his business with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn is over just yet.
