Jinder Mahal had left the arena and was driving home after Sunday's WWE Royal Rumble when his phone started to ping; Ronda Rousey had showed up. After the initial posturing, Rousey went to shake Asuka's hand before it was slapped away by the victor.
Rousey, who had developed a friendship with WWE legend Roddy "Rowdy" Piper, will reportedly perform under the same moniker. Sort of. But at the very least, she would do so in style.
WWE executive Paul Levesque, better known as wrestling superstar Triple H, had met frequently with Rousey to discuss her interest in a deal.

She has not fought since she suffered a 48-second loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 in December 2016. Considering what she's done for UFC, however, that's probably not likely, unless Vince McMahon from WWE or Dana White from UFC feel differently.
