While the Trinamool Congress, CPM and the Sharad Yadav-led JD (U) faction have come out in support of the AAP, the Delhi Congress has left no stone unturned since the Election Commission's recommendation to disqualify the MLAs became public and announced the launch of a protest programme against the Arvind Kejriwal-led government from Monday. Both BJP and congress have sharpened attack on AAP demanding Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's resignation.

Questioning the move to associate Puducherry BJP president V Saminathan with the inauguration of a Passport office in Karaikal, the AIADMK leader said, "Narayanasamy had not registered protest against inclusion of the name of BJP president in both the official invitation and also the plaque erected at the venue of the function".
Senior AAP leader Gopal Rai said the recommendations were a "parting gift" from Election Commission Chief Achal Kumar Joti to the prime minister.
The result of the disqualification would be by-election in the 20 Assembly constituencies, and there is a chance that AAP wins back many of them, given its work in education and healthcare is being appreciated by Delhiites.

BJP will gain significant margin in the seats if the Delhi Bypolls are conducted given the significant importance of this election in the 2019 General Election.
