After President Donald Trump tweeted that he would be announcing the "Most Dishonest and Corrupt Media Awards" on Monday, a few top late-night hosts made a decision to submit themselves for consideration for the year.
As you can see in the tweet above, the president is citing interest that "is far greater than anyone could have anticipated" as a possible reason for the date change.
The White House hasn't given much indication if the awards will actually happen.
Cape Town - Channel24 reported earlier this week that fake news king and caustic American president Donald Trump announced he is starting his own Dishonest Media Awards from the White House that he will dish out on the day after this Sunday's upcoming Golden Globe Awards.
The commander-in-chief tweeted last week they'd be given out Monday and "cover Dishonesty & Bad Reporting in various categories from the Fake News Media". "Stay tuned!" he tweeted.

Trump has fired back against author Michael Wolff and Bannon, calling Wolff a "total loser", and referring to Bannon as "Sloppy Steve".
On Friday the Daily Show with Trevor Noah took out a full colour Oscar-style advert in the New York Times also apparently aimed at sealing a victory in Mr Trump's awards.
