For years, Van Dyke was best known for his starring role in the television sitcom "My Mother the auto", before finding success as the sidekick in television's "Coach".

Van Dyke was born in Danville, Illinois and carried a decades-long career in television that started with a debut on the iconic Dick Van Dyke Show. This role earned Van Dyke four Emmy nominations.
