If you've never played a Bayonetta game, though, you'll be able to play the incredible Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 on Switch from 16 Feb 2017. Fortunately, 2018 is already looking bright as last night, Nintendo announced that Bayonetta 3 would be coming exclusively to the console.
Developed by Platinum Games, Bayonetta is an action-adventure hack and slash video game.
As we only got a brief teaser, I wouldn't expect to see Bayonetta 3 until sometime in 2019, but in the meantime, you can get your fill of the first two games on your Nintendo Switch in just a couple months on February 16th.
Bayonetta 3 is real.
There is no specific release window for Bayonetta 3 just yet, but given how successful 2017 has been for the Nintendo Switch, this seems like the ideal game to keep the pressure on next year. Team up with a friend to take it on - online or off. This resulted in Nintendo stepping in to ensure Bayonetta 2 was released.
Platinum also announced a few extra features for Bayonetta 2 in a now-removed blog post.
Bayonetta will run you $49.99/ €49.99/ £49.99 digitally through the eShop.
How Much Does Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 Cost on Switch? The sequel, Bayonetta 2, was released in 2014 as a Wii U-exclusive. Players can choose to download the standalone digital version of Bayonetta for $29.99 / €29.99, with the option to then get the digital version of Bayonetta 2 for an additional $29.99/ €29.99.
