The fires have burned through more than 73,000 acres and destroyed at least 1,500 homes and businesses in eight counties, including Napa, Sonoma and Yuba.
San Francisco Chronicle reporter Kurtis Alexander shared footage on Twitter on Monday of both a Hilton hotel and a Kmart on fire in Santa Rosa.
The fires have forced the closure of all public schools in Santa Rosa on Monday, and one of the fires has triggered the evacuation of Kaiser Permanente in the area. One person has died from the fires, according to the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office.
Mandatory evacuations are in place for several areas, including Porter Creek and the Petrified Forest.
Upwards of 300 firefighters are battling blazes in Napa County. Swift gusts whipped flames into the area, leaving some homes in a heap of smoldering rubble. The Atlas Fire south of Lake Berryessa off of Atlas Peak Road has burned at least 25,000 acres while the Partrick-Carneros Fire, which ignited west of Napa, has torched roughly 2,000 acres.
The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has issued a smoke advisory for Monday.
Three large fires raged through different parts of Napa County as of mid-morning, destroying property, causing evacuations and prompting Gov. Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency in Napa, Sonoma and Yuba counties as officials estimated the fire had wiped out "well in excess of" 50 structures.
The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for the Bay area.

"Don't try to stay and sit it out, it's important to try to help each other and evacuate", Bertelli said.
"We're focusing on making evacuations and trying to keep people safe".

Her neighbor later called her and said her house burned down.
Evacuation centers were set up at the Napa County Fairgrounds at 1435 North Oak St.in Calistoga and CrossWalk Community Church at 2590 First St.in Napa.
