"Rahul Gandhi comes here and seeks answer from us as to what has the BJP done for the state". Today, Amit Shah also took a swipe at Rahul Gandhi's recent visit to the United States, calling it a vacation.

The BJP chief said that he should shun "Made in Italy" glasses to see development in Gujarat.

The BJP has undertaken the Gaurav Yatra to reach out to the voters as the state goes to polls for the Gujarat Assembly in December. "The Congress is asking us what the Narendra Modi government at the centre has given Gujarat in these three years". "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has waived off Rs 13, 0000 crore loan of 15 richest industrialists of the country", Rahul had said during his Gujarat visit. "You need to remain with the people of Gujarat for their development", he said.

"The Congress is still dreaming about winning the polls".

As the state assembly polls get closer, the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and the opposition Congress are throwing their weight for the campaigning even as the Election Commission of India (EC) is likely to announce the poll dates in a week or so. But if you are dreaming about winning the polls, you can not go for a vacation to the US.

Shah added that the people of Gujarat were smart and would not vote for a party that had inflicted injustice on Gujarat for three generations.

He also launched the "Gujarat Gaurav Yatra" (March for Gujarat's Honour). Along with Shah, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel also paid tribute to the great leader.

Gandhi completed the first phase of his statewide yatra last week as he toured Saurashtra region for three days.

The Gaurav Yatra is meant to highlight the achievements of the BJP government in the State. To discuss the nitty-gritty of the preparations required to comply with Shah's directive, the party's state brass held their internal meeting on Sunday.

Travelling through various parts of the states, both the legs will culminate on October 16 in the presence of Prime Minister Modi.
