The opposition has decried Sharif's continued role in the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) after his disqualification by the apex court in the Panama Papers case.
Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan who avoided being part of Nawaz Sharif's GT Road rally attended the session of national Assembly, here on Thursday.
Sharif, in recent meetings with party leaders, lawyers and media, has expressed his displeasure over the court ruling.
The PTI leader further stated that PML-N is not allowing Shehbaz Sharif to take the reigns of the party.
Sharif resigned on July 28, shortly after the Supreme Court disqualified him from office following an investigation that concluded that his family could not account for what the court said was vast wealth in offshore companies.
After 60 days, the probe committee filed its report in the court and within two weeks, a verdict was delivered that ordered the elections authority to disqualify Nawaz Sharif.
Many lining the route had Wednesday voiced frustration with Pakistan's political elite - but in Jhelum Thursday, Sharif found support.
"As the rally gets closer to Lahore, it will surpass all other jalsas of the past".
Shehbaz Sharif, who is now the chief minister of Punjab, will become the Pakistani prime minister instead of incumbent Shahid Khaqan Abbasi after the parliamentary by-election during which he will be elected to the National Assembly. "It is the linchpin of the democratic order and oxygen for political parties", he said.
Abrar voted for Sharif in the last election, but said he was left dismayed by persistently high unemployment during Sharif's tenure.
