Only healthcare index was down 0.15 per cent.
The broader index ended up 0.52 percent at 9,966.40, its highest close ever, while the benchmark BSE Sensex ended 0.68 percent up at an all-time closing high of 32,245.87.
The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also scaled a new park and was trading 15.50 points or 0.16 per cent higher at 9,930.75 points. On Friday, following positive results by Reliance and Wipro, both Sensex and Nifty recovered and were close to their high points that they had recorded at the beginning of last week. It touched a record intra-day high of 32,320.86 points.
However, the rupee depreciated 10 paise, to 64.42 against the dollar in afternoon deals at the forex market.
The US Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 0.15 percent lower in Friday's trade.
"A latest report from the International Monetary Fund, in which it projected India's growth at 7.7 per cent in 2018 helped sentiments". However, it revised its forecast upwards for Japan, China and other Asian emerging markets.
Market breadth was negative with 1,275 advances against 1,296 declines.
However, shares of Lupin were up by two percent, followed by a surge in the shares of Wipro, Reliance Industries and Adani Ports.
