Ghost War will be available to everyone as a free update when it's ready to go.
Now, Ubisoft will add to the game's appeal, by adding a Call of Duty like appeal to it, too- a PvP mode, long requested by fans, is coming to Wildlands this Fall.
Ghost War will be a class-based affair, with players choosing from one of six classes before jumping into any given match. "All of these elements will make team play, communication, and strategic skills more crucial than ever", Istrate said.
Ubisoft invited some community members to Paris to try out the new mode, and you can see how that turned out over on the official Ghost Recon website. Ghost War will reportedly sport large maps that challenge players to contend with unsafe terrain and weather conditions in addition to enemy players.
Sticking to the tactical nature of Wildlands, players in Ghost War can select different classes of fighters to fill specific roles on their teams, including scout, sniper, tank, and more. It is unknown what other modes will come with Ghost War. Additionally, a 4v4 team deathmatch open beta on all platforms - PS4, Xbox One, and PC - is scheduled to arrive later this summer at an unannounced date. The game mode will also introduce new mechanics such as suppression fire.
You know how it goes - sometimes in Ghost Recon, you get exhausted of working with your friends to complete missions and you just want to shoot them instead.
