He said Saif's role in the series is complex and layered. It is on point in terms of quirkiness but leaves us in a fix.We also see several insane versions of the actor.
Kaalakaandi also stars Sobhita Dhulipala, Akshay Oberoi, Amrya Dastur and Kunaal Roy Kapur. "It's a cross-section of Mumbai with underworld goons, doomed bankers, and idealistic lovers all mixed in this karmic tale about love, crime and living a lifetime in one night".
Shashwat Sachdev composed the music for Kaalakaandi.
On the work front, Saif Ali Khan who was last seen in Vishal Bhardwaj's "Rangoon" will also be seen hosting the 18th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards with co-anchor Karan Johar at the MetLife Stadium, New York. The cinematography is by Himman Dhamija while for the editing Rahul Purav is responsible. While a fresh lease of online life could very well be possible (and he'll have the first-mover advantage), it's worth noting that he has an interesting bunch of films lined-up.
