The league is switching from Reebok to adidas with some adjustments coming for Nashville. That distinctive "M" was also featured on the Stadium Series uniform worn by the Wild on February 21, 2016.
Edmonton's new jerseys are not entirely different from the ones this past season.
"The innovative, new adidas jersey's design reflects the overwhelming fan feedback received from Citizens of Smashville - they want more Gold", President and CEO Sean Henry said.
The new National Hockey League jerseys are here, and they're... not all that different than they were before.
The new uniform features the Colorado-inspired "C" mark on the shoulders as a reference to the franchise's home state flag, and the number system is influenced by the original font but provides a clearer arena and broadcast experience. The materials are up to 133 per cent more permeable than the fabrics that were used last season.
For the most part, Adidas simplified the designs.
And these jerseys are stronger, with the fabrics being up to 27 per cent stronger in burst testing and up to 72 per cent tougher in abrasion testing. But New Jersey Devils fans really didn't like the changes to their jerseys.
"The ADIZERO Authentic NHL jersey features adidas Clima® technology in each of the jersey fabrics to deliver breathability and enhanced performance".
From a manufacturing standpoint, adidas says the new adizero models are 19 percent lighter than the Reebok uniforms, based on the manner in which the logo and numbers are made and applied.
