An airplane carrying Otto Warmbier, who's from OH, arrived in Cincinnati shortly before 10:20 p.m. In January 2016, he was detained at the airport in Pyongyang while trying to take out a poster of political content.
The North Korean account, the family said, claimed that Warmbier then fell into a coma after being given a sleeping pill.
Tillerson says the State Department secured Warmbier's release at President Donald Trump's direction.
Tillerson said the State Department is still working on the release of the three other US citizens detained in North Korea.
At least three American citizens are still being held in North Korea. "Out of respect for the privacy of Mr. Warmbier and his family, we have no further comment on Mr. Warmbier".
The North Koreans later urgently requested another meeting in NY, and Yun met North Korea's ambassador to the United Nations on June 6, when he was told about Warmbier's "condition", the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Hours after his arrival the previous day, U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson announced that North Korea had released an American student serving a 15-year prison term with hard labor for alleged anti-state acts. On this trip, he has already been roundly criticized by some for visiting during a time of high tensions between the US and North Korea over its weapons programs and recent missile launches.

They also said they are grateful he "will finally be with people who love him".

Two of them - Kim Hak Song and Kim Sang Duk - are teachers of Korean origin who worked at the Pyongyang University of Science and Technology, and the third is a South Korea-born American named Kim Dong-chul. It is imperative that the State Department continue its efforts to secure their release.
