James and the Cavs fell 118-113 to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday and are down 3-0 in the NBA Finals. In the almost 30 minute chat, James, Green, 2 Chainz, and others debate music, culture, and sports. But returning to Cleveland that much more to him ... and of course, it adds even more meaning to what he was able to deliver to the city last season.
"He (Gilbert) not only disrespected me, but my name", James tells the group.
"But you're going against a team like this and you put together a game like we had where we had an opportunity, it's definitely draining".
"I mean for me, personally, when I chose to go back to Cleveland, I had to decide - because our owner at the time when I left made a decision to put out this [censored] article that we all know about where he completely bashed and disrespected not only me as an individual, but disrespected my name".
But James ultimately says his return was about "the bigger picture" and wanted to be an inspiration to the people of The Land, despite his family's wishes. And I believe I'm that way out.
I'm here to offer a ranking, 30 to 1, of the likelihood LeBron James would choose that franchise for his final (or close to it) significant National Basketball Association contract.
James accomplished that by leading the Cavaliers to a come-from-behind NBA Finals triumph over the Warriors previous year, but a repeat is looking increasingly unlikely.
