Harris County Precinct 3 Assistant Chief Deputy Greenwood was shot and killed Monday, April 3, 2017, moments after arriving for work.
3 Deputy Constable was shot early Monday in Baytown.
The shooting happened at about 7:45 a.m.in the 700 block of West Baker Road, behind the courthouse building.
To date, the courthouse and neighboring Sterling High School is on lockdown, according to Goose Creek CISD. They were able to get him help, flying him via Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital, but sadly, he has died of his injuries.
"Whether or not he was specifically targeted, or whether this was because of the uniform he was wearing or the place he pulled up to in the morning, we just don't know that right now", said Lt. Steve Dorris of the Baytown Police Department.
Though no information on a possible suspect was given, Dorris said authorities "don't have any indication that tells us he's gonna go out and target anybody else".
