Rachael Madison had called her aunt on November 12 to help her escape from her "abusive husband" in Kentucky, a report states.
Investigators have located remains of what is believed to be Rachael Madison, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The Volusia County Sheriff's Office said Madison was staying with family near Ormond-by-the-Sea after she left IN to distance herself from her estranged husband, Jarvis Madison, 58.
Rachael Lynn Madison, 44, was last seen on Sunday, Nov. 27 near the home of an aunt and uncle where she was living in Ormond-by-the-Sea, Fla.
Investigators are still gathering evidence from the site and are working to positively identify the remains as those of Rachael Madison. She had been staying with her aunt Thelma Joyce Newsom, and the aunt's husband, Mike Newsom.
The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force located Jarvis Madison Friday in Louisville, Ky.
According to the agency, Jarvis Wayne Madison, 58, was arrested without incident around 8:30 a.m. Friday. The FBI has notified Rachael Madison's family of the findings, and we request that members of the media respect their privacy.
A Volusia County Sheriff's Office report released Thursday said that "Jarvis' vehicle that was the subject of the missing persons bulletin, the silver 2011 Honda Pilot, has been located and impounded".
Rachael told Indiana State Police her husband held her against her will while they were driving and even fired a shot at her when she tried to get away.
On Nov. 28, the Volusia County Sheriff's Office in Florida announced that Rachael Madison was missing.
