AMC's The Walking Dead held a panel in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con this year and were not able to reveal much about the upcoming season seven because season six ended on such a particular cliffhanger.
We already were waiting to hear more about Negan's antics on the Season 7 of "The Walking Dead", but fans were thrilled when the latest trailer (below) revealed that King Ezekiel and his pet tiger Shiva are also coming to "The Walking Dead's" world.
Star Andrew Lincoln also sought to reassure fans, who will find out in the season premiere which character Negan killed. "It's all leading up to one of the greatest showdowns we've had on this show since Terminus".
The Walking Dead has continuously shown that it has a keen understanding of escalation, and its Season 7 trailer is no different.
"It's definitely worth the wait", Kirkman said.
"Ezekiel is played by Khary Paton, and executive producer Scott M. Gimple said: "[He's] a bit younger [and] more svelte" than the character we see in the comic books, but "he came in, and he owned it". "It's a fantastic start", executive producer Robert Kirkman promised. According to Deadline, the new season will premiere internationally on Monday, Oct 24 on Fox channels in more than 125 countries. "With Negan, it's given me an opportunity to do something I've never done before", he says.
Frustrating as it is, fans will get answers to their burning questions when season 7 of 'The Walking Dead' returns Sunday, October 23 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
"The dead are walking towards their final resting place".
The cast and producers were tight-lipped during the show's panel at Comic-Con about which character has died.
Nicotero teased that this death in Negan's hands will definitely "propel our story forward" and will have a huge impact on the people involved in the story including Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Glenn (Steven Yeun), and Maggie (Lauren Cohan), just to name a few.
